M-II Operations · Tech-Enabled Fractional COO

Moving founders from frustration to freedom.

Monitor. Interpret. Intervene.

The founder is only free when the business doesn't need them for every decision. M-II builds the operating layer that makes that possible: the right KPIs, the right dashboards, and a tech-enabled environment where the small daily decisions get monitored, interpreted, and routed to the right person automatically. So you stop being the bottleneck for the work that shouldn't need you at all.

01
Monitor

We're a tech-enabled COO firm, so we use whatever tooling fits your stack to surface and track the numbers that matter most. Those KPIs land in an easy-to-read dashboard right where they belong: in front of you, not buried three reports deep.

02
Interpret

We then use technology to monitor the processes behind those KPIs and detect variation, drift, or process interruptions that would otherwise go unnoticed until they became a real issue. The signal gets caught while it's still a signal, not after it's already cost you.

03
Intervene

The system alerts you through smart action items the moment intervention is needed. If it can see exactly what needs to be fixed, it tells you the fix; if it detects a trend outside its purview, it raises a banner flagging the affected areas for review, so nothing quietly slips.

How M-II Works

Three ways, in one operating philosophy.

Whether you start with a $998 self-service audit, embed our Fractional COO services into your leadership team, or subscribe to one of our operations apps, you're working from the same playbook. Monitor. Interpret. Intervene.

01

The $998 Operational Audit

A self-service questionnaire across 8 focus areas. The lowest-risk way to monitor where your operations actually stand today. We interpret the results into a scored PDF and walk you through them on a 30-minute review call, flagging the gaps most likely to cost you. You leave with a clear short list of where to intervene first, whether that's with us, in-house, or in your own time.

Run the audit
02

Fractional COO Engagements

We embed as the operating layer your business doesn't yet have. That covers project KPIs and the human side of the business: HR compliance, onboarding, certifications and training, performance, hiring, and CRM hygiene. Phase 1 Build installs SOPs, KPIs, org structure, and authority. Phase 2 Monitor & Maintain keeps a trained set of eyes on the leading indicators, and intervenes before they turn into fires.

M-II Solutions · The App Suite

Every app in the M-II suite started the same way: a real client running a real business hit a wall their existing tools could not solve. We built them what they needed. It worked. M-II Build (construction management) is live now. M-II Projects, M-II CRM, and M-II Dispatch are in client beta. M-II Ops Lite is on the way.

Your phone is not a project management system.

A general contractor in the D/FW Metroplex came to us running a successful business that had quietly outgrown the tools holding it together. Quotes in his email. Subs confirmed by text. Budgets in a spreadsheet. The calendar in his head. Multiple jobs running across the metro, several crews working different sites on different days, clients calling with changes mid-project. Subs not showing up. Change orders causing delays. Margins cut by rework that wasn't in the bid but was always part of the original RFQ. He was the integration layer holding it all together, and it was running him.

We built M-II Build to put every moving piece of a job onto one screen. It worked. Now it's available to any general contractor who needs the same thing.

Owner-operator surrounded by stacks of vendor invoices, a missed-call notification on the phone, and a yellow legal pad: the chaos M-II Build replaces.

The M-II Operations App · Currently Exclusive to Approved Fractional Clients

A Fractional COO can be in the building four days a month. The Operations app is in the building every minute of every day.

As a Fractional COO, I personally set the policies, draft the SOPs, define the KPIs, and decide who has authority to approve what. That work doesn't go away. Someone has to hammer down the processes, build the training programs, and lock in the job titles and duties first. Those foundations typically take months to install correctly inside a real business; rushing them is how operating systems quietly fail.

Once the foundation is in place, the application of it shouldn't require a human in the loop for every decision, and that's what the M-II Operations app does. It takes the policies and procedures we install together and runs them as live software: monitoring the work, interpreting what each role can and can't do, and intervening with role-appropriate smart action items the moment something falls out of bounds. It's a COO working 24/7 inside your business, without the calendar conflicts.

Access is currently exclusive to approved Fractional COO clients. The Operations app is the runtime for the operating layer we install together. It is not a tool you bolt onto a business that hasn't yet documented its processes, defined its roles, or set its authority structure. Clients earn access during Phase 1 Build, by the time those foundations are in place.

Examples · Action items determined by the Authority Matrix

Every Fractional COO engagement produces an Authority Matrix — a documented map of which role can decide what, approve what, and route what to whom. The M-II Operations app reads from that matrix in real time and routes each event to the right desk automatically. The three examples below are different events, each landing on the correct role: a supervisor action, an HR routing, and a founder-only approval that exceeds delegated authority.

Supervisor

Submit June safety training logs to Management

You can't sign off on training completion for your own crew, per company policy. Submit your team's logged sessions to Operations for sign-off before Friday.

Submit logs
HR Manager

Route new hire to Department Manager for trainer assignment

Per policy, HR can onboard but doesn't assign trainers. Forward Maria Lopez's new hire profile to the Field Operations Manager so a trainer can be selected.

Forward to Dept Manager
Founder

Approvals that exceed delegated authority

Two items the Authority Matrix routes only to you this week: a procurement authorization above the $25K threshold on Riverside Community Center, and a new hire offer outside the approved compensation band. Everything else is being handled at the local level.

Founder freedom isn't disappearing from your business. It's being needed only for the decisions that truly need you. M-II makes sure everything else lands on the right desk automatically.
